Chicken Shawarma Caesar Salad

Fusion of Middle Eastern and Western flavors with this Chicken Shawarma Caesar Salad, succulent marinated chicken shawarma strips are served on a bed of crisp romaine lettuce, cherry tomatoes, and croutons, all tossed in a creamy Caesar dressing.

Main Ingredients

500g boneless chicken thighs, thinly sliced

2 tbsp olive oil

2 tbsp plain yogurt

RK Salt and RK pepper to taste

2 tbsp lemon juice

4 garlic cloves minced

1 tbsp RK Paprika

½ tbsp RK Cardamom

½ tbsp RK Cumin Powder

1 head romaine lettuce, chopped

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

1 cup croutons

3 tbsp mayonnaise

2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese

1 tbsp Dijon mustard

1 clove garlic, minced

Juice of 1 lemon

Directions

To make the shawarma spice blend, in a bowl put olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, salt, paprika, cardamom, cumin, cinnamon and crushed red pepper and mix.

To marinate the chicken, in a bowl mix olive oil, yogurt, shawarma spice blend, salt, and pepper to taste. Add the chicken slices, ensuring they are well coated. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.

Heat a pan over medium-high heat. Cook the marinated chicken until fully cooked and slightly charred.

To prepare the caesar dressing, in a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, Parmesan cheese, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.

In a large bowl, combine chopped romaine lettuce, cherry tomatoes, and croutons. Add the cooked chicken shawarma.

Pour the Caesar dressing over the salad and toss until everything is well coated and serve.
